A dear friend of mine sent me an Instagram post that was perfection. It summarized how great our friendship is. It's the kind of friendship that even when you cannot see each other for a few weeks or even months at a time when you get together you pick right back up where you left off. That message meant the world to me. Life can get so busy, especially with this renovation. Between work, the house, and my personal life, sometimes you don't even have an opportunity to really take it all in.
It's the little things that can make a difference. With this house, however, these small details can take so much of your time. But, these types of details I feel are important. These little tokens, like an Instagram message, a quick text from a friend, and the small details in a house can bring so much joy.
Just one change - a small change in color can make all the difference to a room.
This hallway upstairs needed a major shake-up. The small detail of some molding helped give it a more up-to- date look.
This small bedroom needed some color. I call this the Healy inspired room after my friend Kristy. She has always supported my crazy ideas and is an inspiration to me.
So I guess my point is that details really matter, at least to me. They matter in so many facets in life. Noticing the details in your day, reaching out to a friend, helping someone out, or the details in a text or email can make all the difference. While others might not notice or really find the importance in small details, they can sometimes or in someway change the dynamics or direction in how you see things.
